Bag full of flavor

Chips come in all kinds of shapes, colors, flavors, and sizes. Some shapes that I have noticed are thin circles, triangles, puffy sticks, curly, and squares. Colors come in red, orange, brown, and yellow. Flavors vary more, some of the most common I have seen are spicy hot, barbeque, ranch, cheese, plain, and salsa. It seems that whatever new food or food craze comes out, its chip form is sure to follow. Some of the most resent flavors that have been added to the list are guacamole, pizza, taco, and jalapeƱo. Potato chip companies try to target what the best spices and flavors are favored by the public. Something new that I have seen are a combination of flavors in bags. The idea of having a snack to satisfy the craving you have of a certain food or taste is great. I just hope it stays at that level of flavors and doesn’t move on to whole meals. Because before you know it they will start to do flavors such as steak dinner, spaghetti, and fried chicken. I know, I know, it’s a little exaggerating but it could happen. It sort of follows the idea of having a meal in a can. Chips are a great snack and some are even healthy. But I think it should just stay as a snack that you could eat with a meal like a sandwich. It never hurts to have a crunchy flavor with your meals.

"Do fries come with that shake?"

What goes better with a burger than a side of golden, fried to a nice crisp, bundle of fries. They go great with a lot of things like sandwiches, chicken, and any other plates. Fries are even great by themselves. Some people eat them with ketchup, dressing, and even guacamole. There are many places out there that have fries on they're menus. But of course not all of them are the same. Some come thin, thick, too salty, not enough salt, plain, curly, and some come with special blends of spices. When ever I go to a new burger place or restaurant I always try they're fries. Overall I do like all types of fries from many different restaurants. Some of the best I've had have been from small burger shops like Tam's. Sure McDonald's fries are good and so are Burger Kings' but when places like Rally's have these super loaded fries then you simply can't compare. Different styles like super loaded, Chilly fries, and guacamole style take a simple side into a good meal. After pointing out some of the best fries out there, I have to say that some of the worst come from somewhere that I expected more out of. The place that I thought had the worst fries was In-N-Out. Sure their fries are healthier because they're made in 100% vegetable oil but I think that because they went the healthier way they sacrificed taste. I'll never forget the day I bit into one of their fries. I was eager to try In-N-Out for the first time, about a year ago. The double-double was great but when I tasted the fries I felt as if I was biting into nothing. Very little flavor and nothing at all as what I was used to when eating fries. Fries are a very simple side, you peal and cut your potatoes, you fry them and season them. Although I dig the whole healthy choice, I think having some good old' thick sliced, greasy, seasoned fries are what we need as a side next to our meals. Not some thin, flavorless, hollow, although healthy, sorry excuse of a fry. Let's keep that greasy but o so delicious taste people.
